Recovery Support
A physician-led programme built to speed healing, cut downtime, and restore physical function after exertion, illness, or surgery.
Longevity & Recovery
What is Recovery Support?
Recovery support covers the services and treatments that help body and mind come back after physical exertion, illness, surgery, or substance use. It is not about diagnosing or treating an acute emergency; the aim is faster healing, less downtime, and getting proper physical function back.
The Main Pillars of Recovery Support
Depending on what you are recovering from, it generally falls into three categories:
1. Athletic and Muscle Recovery
For athletes, regular trainers, or anyone whose work is physically demanding. The focus is on repairing muscle fibre, helping clear metabolic waste, and reducing inflammation.
- Floods the muscle with hydration, magnesium — a natural muscle relaxant — and amino acids, which can help ease delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS).
IV & Injection Therapy:
- Tools that lower tissue inflammation: compression boots for circulation, percussion massage guns, cryotherapy, or contrast baths alternating hot and cold.
Physical Modalities:
2. Illness and Depletion Recovery
Aimed at restoring the immune system and fluid levels after sickness, travel, or sheer exhaustion have drained them.
- Rebuilding your baseline defences after a stomach bug, flu, food poisoning, or severe jet lag.
Dehydration & Nutrient Replenishment:
- Targeted hydration with anti-nausea medication and antioxidants, to help the liver clear alcohol toxicity faster.
Hangover Support:
3. Substance Use and Mental Health Recovery (Peer Support)
In behavioural health, Recovery Support Services (RSS) or peer recovery support means non-clinical, peer-led help — sober coaches, recovery housing, and community groups supporting people through long-term sobriety and mental wellbeing.
Why It Matters: Bypassing the “Crash”
When your body has been under strain — a hard marathon, a week of illness, months of poor sleep — your cellular resources are typically spent. Recovery support can shorten the road back. Rather than waiting days or weeks for food and rest alone to rebalance your nutrient and hydration levels, targeted therapies may restore those baselines more quickly.
How it Aligns with What We've Discussed
Here is how that connects to the therapies covered elsewhere:
- is the foundation, replacing the fluid volume you have lost.
Hydration Therapy
- give a fast chemical boost to the biological pathways doing the healing.
Vitamin Injections
- such as The Cure or Pump Up the Jam combine both, for targeted recovery from illness or muscle strain.
Specialty IV Blends
If you are exploring recovery support options, let us know:
What are you recovering from — hard training, a recent illness, general burnout?
Want to look at specific packages such as The Cure, or the Pump Up the Jam muscle recovery drip?
Tell us and we will help you pin down the therapy or the changes that will actually get you back to yourself.
What does Ivy en Rose offer for Recovery Support?
At Ivy en Rose, recovery support is a physician-led programme directed by Dr. Andrew Vargas. Rather than offering hangover cures and leaving it there, we work across four medical pillars: cellular, athletic, post-procedural, and pain management.
1. Advanced Pain Management & Functional Recovery
We use non-surgical, non-opioid strategies to help patients get on top of chronic physical pain and break the cycle of avoiding movement.
- Protocols built around you, to restore mobility, build strength, and rebuild trust in your body after injury or long-term strain.
Targeted Care Plans:
- Guidance on combining clinical care with movement-based therapy such as physical therapy and stability training, so you can return to normal activity safely.
Movement Integration:
2. Athletic & Muscle Repair Support
Aimed at delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), and at helping neutralise the oxidative stress that often builds up during hard exertion.
- Formulated for muscle recovery specifically, using B-complex vitamins, Vitamin C, and magnesium — a natural muscle relaxant.
Pump Up the Jam Drip:
- High-dose antioxidant therapy, used to support mitochondrial health, help clear metabolic waste from muscle tissue, and support stamina.
Glutathione Infusions:
3. Acute Depletion & Illness Recovery
A rapid-response approach to rebalancing the body after systemic shock, dehydration, or a depleted immune system.
- A fast-acting infusion of B-complex, Vitamin C, magnesium, and medical-grade Zofran, for severe dehydration, nausea, stomach bugs, or a serious hangover.
The Cure:
- The same blend, plus an extra litre of fluid to restore blood volume more fully.
The Cure Plus:
4. Post-Procedural Aesthetic Recovery
We also build recovery support into our cosmetic treatments, to keep downtime short and results strong.
- After advanced skin treatment such as Morpheus8 or a facial, we provide IV nutrient therapy. It lifts internal hydration systemically and supplies the building blocks for faster tissue healing and better collagen synthesis.
Skin Healing Protocols:
5. Cellular & Longevity Repair
High-potency NAD+ infusions aimed at deep cellular repair, at unwinding travel-induced jet lag, and at resetting metabolic energy at cell level.
