Thoughtful Follow Up and Re-Evaluation
Step 05 of your care pathway. Dr. Vargas tracks how the tissue is actually recovering, tunes the results, and works to keep you mobile long term.
What does Ivy en Rose do for Thoughtful Follow Up and Re-Evaluation?
Thoughtful follow-up and re-evaluation is Step 05, the last phase of the Ivy en Rose care pathway. Regenerative therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) do not mask symptoms; they set off a healing cascade that unfolds over weeks. Dr. Andrew Vargas, MD uses this phase to follow that recovery, refine the results, and protect your mobility for the long run.
The Follow-Up and Re-Evaluation Process
Follow-up rests on three clinical aims:
1. Dedicated Physician Follow-Up Appointments
You are not left to work out your own recovery. Ivy en Rose books dedicated physician-led follow-ups, the 15-minute reviews included in our Personalised Consultation and PRP packages, for instance. In them, Dr. Vargas goes over your healing timeline so far, checks the injection sites, and assesses how your body is answering the cellular repair therapy.
2. Functional Mobility & Pain Re-Evaluation
We judge success by whether you can move comfortably through an ordinary day. Dr. Vargas re-examines your progress across range of motion (how far joint extension, flexion, and stability have come), the fear-avoidance cycle (your physical confidence, so activity can be reintroduced without the dread of setting off a spasm or flare), and systemic change (related shifts such as less pain at night and better sleep).
3. Plan Optimization & Maintenance Strategy
Because we hold that pain and overall biological vitality are closely tied, Step 05 also refines your longer-term plan. Depending on how quickly the joint tissue is regenerating, Dr. Vargas may adjust it by deciding on series candidacy (whether the injury warrants moving to a multi-shot protocol such as our 3-Treatment PRP Bundle), layering supportive therapies (cellular-signalling peptide therapies, anti-inflammatory IV infusions, or specific micronutrients such as magnesium to reduce nerve hyperexcitability), and coordinating movement support (medical guidance on when it is safe to bring in physical therapy or Pilates, to rebuild strength and stability around the repaired joint).
